Financial Assistance Options
SGO Scholarship Program
Since 2009, Tax Credit Scholarships have provided a public incentive for private giving. Individuals and corporations can receive a 50% state tax credit when making donations to an approved Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). In the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, the Scholarship Granting Organization of Northeast Indiana, Inc. has been established and offers scholarships to students who meet certain income requirements. Our Lady School participates in the SGO Scholarship Program
- Household Adjusted Gross Income at or below 200% of Reduced Lunch Eligibility (see Third Column/200% on the “Choice Scholarship Program Household Income Limits” form from the Indiana Department of Education)
- Must apply for tuition assistance using FACTS Grant & Aid and submit requested paperwork (even if you are registered at a parish that does not require FACTS Grant & Aid for a financial aid decision)
School Choice Scholarship Program (Vouchers)
The School Choice Scholarship Program was established in the 2011-2012 school year. It provides for a percentage of the state tax dollars allocated for a student to attend a public school to follow a child to the private school of their choice. Currently, this program allows for students (and often their siblings) to qualify for a voucher when they meet certain income requirements and eligibility pathways. Our Lady School participates in the School Choice Scholarship Program.
Parish Financial Aid
This is the financial support of students/families by individual parishes. If you are registered at Our Lady of Good Hope, financial need will be determined using FACTS Grant & Aid. To apply for Tuition Assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid, go to https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/4KF0B. The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 school year is Friday, April 28, 2017.
If you are registered at another parish without a school, it is your responsibility to approach your pastor and discuss with him what financial aid is available and how he would like you to request it.
Make purchases through the SCRIP program to help defray the cost of your tuition and fees! Use the purchases your normally make (groceries, gas, clothes, etc.) to earn a percentage toward your account. It really adds up!
